It's one of those times when I am running out of available cards so today I decided to stamp up some toppers which I can then assemble onto cards for the many birthdays approaching. Some of the outlines are stamped with any old ink and some are embossed. This shopping lady stamp was a gift from my friend Liz and this was the first time I have used it. I found it very clear despite the fact I damaged the foot pulling it off the stamp from the packaging. Some of the stamps brought out a little background I didnt want but I can use these to remove parts to decoupage. To colour I like the letraset pens as they give the impression of solid ink rather than penfilled. This will make a nice Mother's Day or birthday card.

I also had a little play with another set of stamps I havent used before made by Debbie Moore. I attend 2 of her workshops a year with a few of my coffee+craft friends. They were also very clear and embossed well. They look well in primary colours. I had purchased metal magic but found it expensive and I didnt get the effect I had hoped but today it worked well as straight forward embossing.

This evening when I had finished my Precept Bible study for tomorrow I did a little more work on my quilt block and my ripple blanket.
