Dublin Day Out

A nap to prepare for a long day Friday
It was a decision made in less than a week so little time to think about it. I had been to Dublin for the knitting and stitching show many years ago with two good friends, one nolonger with us. It wasn't a pleasant trip as there were many smoke breaks that lengthened the journey. Today we left at 0700hrs and were home by 1900hrs but well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the textile art display put on by artists and students, it was amazing.

Whilst Liz did craft shopping I spent 2hrs on a hairpin crochet workshop. I love learning new crafts and techniques.

I still had a few hours to browse and buy some things I needed. I got the buttons for the waistcoat I just knit.

I also got some Xmas fabric to top up my supply and some metallic promarkers to join my set. I got some lovely Donegal tweads to make a bag which is another project to add to my list!!!

When I came home I got straight into my knitting and finished a sock with Smudge curled up on my knee. I havent knit socks since I was 10yrs old but I am just loving these bamboo needles. I got the pattern with the wool from the happyknitter. They deliver so quickly and are so helpful.

I think I will do some more hairpin crochet to add to my sample and make it into a cushion cover.
