What does Christmas mean to you?

What Christmas is all about
The world we live in has developed in such a way that priorities are constantly changing. There is so much available at our fingertips literally and I am as bad as most as I hate shopping and love being able to do this online. This can be a good thing and a bad one. It's all a matter of putting everything in order of importance and balancing our lives. What do you think of when you think of Christmas? Do you think of  FOOD,turkey,Christmas pudding and cakes.

or do you think about gifts and all the new things you will receive with the season. Do you prefer to be the giver of gifts or take time to make or purchase a gift that you feel is just perfect for that person. Do you spend more than you can afford because after all it is Christmas. Smudge decided she wasn't waiting to Christmas and opened her present from her Nanny B

Is it a time for family and friends that you never see the rest of the year but have to because it is Christmas!!! Maybe it's the only time you communicate by sending cards or do you just send any card because it's the thing to do at Christmas?

I do love having my home decorated the month of December. We swap many ornaments and pictures for Christmas ones.

Maybe it's this time of year we just look forward to partying with friends and colleagues.

I went to silk painting class last weekend with a focus on Christmas and only half considered Christmas in their design.

Christmas doesn't bring me memories of Santa and gifts because as a child it really wasn't something to look forward to apart from getting presents. However it is because of Christmas that I have the life I have. A life of joy no matter what the situation, a life of HOPE and assured PEACE in the future. How can we forget the true meaning of Christmas? Simply because the world we live in is slowly but surely taking the Christ out of Christmas.

Miss K and I made our own crib this afternoon. We also had all the characters cut from card using a cricut and some straw for the manger.
