The first glimpse of N.Ireland for Gwyn

Gwyn arrived safely to see the land her father came from and the hope of meeting relatives she never knew existed until recently. We started by visiting the are in which I live now. We went to a concert in the Corries barn by the New Irish choir and orchestra.

Like ourselves she is a National trust member so we visited Mountstewart which we visit regularly.

We also called in at ballycopeland windmill where we had a very interesting tour and were well informed on the history of milling in that area and N.ireland as a whole.

We called at local gift and craft shops to show off the local skills as well as time with some ladies in my house later in the week for our own craft. very interestlingly one of the ladies Gillian from S.Wales shares the Hughes maiden name with Gwyn and is led to believe her family came from the North then moved for work to Manchester and then to the South so we may find a relationship at a later date.
