Co.Kerry- a long drive from home

This was our final destination at Angela's cottage. Lots of lovely scenery on the way but as we went by the navigator the journey was actually longer as we went from Kenmare along Beara way without realising.the distance may have been shorter but the tracks were slow so instead of 7 hrs to get to Lauragh it was 9hrs.
Smudge was good on my knee for the whole journey but it was an early night for us and a not so early rise in the morning. Then we took a walk for a couple of hours before lunch to see where we were situated.
Above is view from bedroom window.
Above and below is the back of the cottage where we will walk up the mountain at some point.
Front of cottage above and below
Below a view of the cottage from the road
Smudge isn't too keen on road walks so we did go off on tracks every now and then.
She did get a little scared of this friendly dog and J is too sympathetic toward her-so much for a walk

We discovered the road we should have been on from Kenmare last night!!
Above- old lime kiln which was in use in the 1700's
Loved the mosaic at the local primary school
The weather was fabulous for this time of year.mrs Moriarty said its normally very wet at this time.
Look at this cool crochet work above on the child's bike.
All on a mornings wanderings
