Satisfaction when projects are finished

I have so many projects on the go and not just crochet. I also have knitting, scrapbooking, card making, Dollshouse, cross stitch and so it goes on.
There is such joy and satisfaction when one is complete and I have been making a special effort to complete my paintings at least.
This spice of life crochet along was fun to do and Smudge has claimed it immediately. Still working on my Christmas cal and a few others. Started a monthly raffle for Kiwoko of which this month the prize is Flopsy Bunny

Dollshouse and Miniature Exhibition with craft fair in aid of Kiwoko Hospital in Uganda

It reminded me of my wedding where there is lots of planning, you sit back for months and then it's all business again.
The event was extremely successful and everything went to plan. I owe so many people for this smooth running as I couldn't have done it without firstly the wonderful church halls at Sydenham Methodist church. The fundraising team helpers from Setrust and my coffee and craft ladies as well as my dear friends. We raised £1877.39 in aid of Kwioko hospital in Uganda

A young girl called Rachel managed to get all the answers in the Dollshouse competition and won herself a 1975,s fully furnished Lundby Dollshouse. Jo Crawford one of the jewellery exhibitors came second winning the 1970's Caroline's home which he is delighted to be able to share with his grand daughters.

My large Denaway dollhouse, a work in progress.this was purchased many years ago partially constructed as a proposed entire meant venture.

My two cottages above And below I constructed under the guidance and instruction of Rik Pierce. I recommend you look at his other designs at Frogmorton studios, a very incredibly talented man willing. To pass in his skills to folk like me.

Autumn delights at Rowallane

I just love the Autumn, especially the colours in the garden. We had a visit to Rowallane gardens and such a range of colours to see even some flowering plants I would expect to have died off by now.
This is a fabulous place for dogs also and very friendly inviting staff.

The little cafe was also ideal where we could sit outside with Smudge and have home made soup and a sandwich. They even have doggy biscuits.

Lots of nooks and crannies to explore and a resident potter at work.

At art class we were still focusing on Autumn leaves and last week I managed to get my leaves finished.

This weeks was more complex so it's on the easel now until I get it finished.

Crafting and Fundraising

I

I love the Autumn but always feel there is a lot to be packed in. With fairs and fundraising before Christmas as well as cards and gifts to make. Congratulations to the team involved with organising the gala dinner for Kiwoko raising a huge amount of over £3400. A big thank you from me to those who donated prizes/ auction items for the event-Billy Austin, Hilary Johnston and Barry McGuigan.

We are moving forward now to our next big event this weekend.

My own projects have slowed down temporarily but getting a little crochet done when I can to relax.
This is my fifth square of the Christmas cal, four more to go
The spice of life cal is up to date, just about.

A random granny stripe and square in progress
Sophie's universe cal above

Granny stripe finished and Lizalso finished her quilt at coffee and craft, well almost just some hand sewing to secure the border.
The back is as good as the front.

Back from USA

I got a lovely welcome home from my best girl and due to a long sleep on the plane I had no jet lag whatsoever so straight back to business. I was back to work within a few days but back to crochet much sooner.
This flopsy bunny above I made on the way to USA (pink and lilac Wondersoft by stylecraft) and the one below I partly done on the way home (strawberry wonder soft by stylecraft). I am giving bunnies a break for the moment and getting on with other projects.
I am thoroughly enjoying the calls (crochet along). The lily pond went to my mum for her birthday so I am now working on the spice of life cal.

I haven't chose the recommended colours but I am using stylecraft dk and loving it. I have also started the Sophie cal that wS out last year.see below. It's in stylecraft Aran, more muted colours for a change.
I am also still working on the Christmas cal in stylecraft dk which is a corner to corner project.

And I am almost finished a blue Wondersoft baby blanket.

Then as well as crochet I have been back for the new season of my art classes. With holidays in June it's been such a long time but I wasn't as rusty as I thought.

Coffee and craft as well as precept Bible studies have resumed.there is so much to be done and I really need to get to Christmas cards at some point if I can leave my hook down long enough!
