Ards, Bus, Crochet, Dublin eventually Hartford

I had an uneventful departure from Ards once we cleared the drive of barriers from virgin media. J deposited me at the europa bus centre and after a coffee I was on my way to Dublin airport. The coach journey was pleasant and my companion was a young lady who was acquainted with my nephew David and his wife Gloria so we chatted about the Derry area. She is studying teaching and in the middle of a placement in Madrid. I finished the latest v stitch crochet blanket I planned to do on the plane.
I was so so looking forward to this visit even more so than August as I value my alone time. The checking in was fast as already done online, I tagged my case and sent it off on its journey down the conveyor belt. I hope it knows the way. Just when I thought I had time to relax I got a message from J stating the virgin media crew had wrecked our mail box with their digger, demolished beyond repair. It was only in place one week. They paid up front for replacement and he stated as he spoke (as I had now phoned him) they were removing the concrete to replace the post. I haven't even left Ireland yet and straight to my iPad and ordered a new mail box via Amazon.

I got a snack and then realised, as I travel so often I pay little heed to fine details, that I would be arriving in Hartford in daylight so we could go to vernon pizza for supper, soup though rather than pizza on this occasion. Customs and border clearance was immediate with not even one person in front. These new flights from Dublin to Hartford are steadily raising in my opinion so I hope they stay. A lovely snack in the coffee shop and some water purchased for the flight. My flight left on time and I had three seats to myself. I sprawled out and finished reading the book Karen gave me "journey of hope" stories of courage and faith from Africa by Jean Gibson which brought me back to my own visits there. I wonder will I ever be back? I can't honestly say.

Beef stroganoff as good as any restaurant with a glass of wine and lemon mousse for dessert. Coming to mind is J's comment about me missing the gym for a week and now bringing any exercise wear with me, mental note to walk plenty. Stretched out again to start another v stitch crochet blanket using blue toned scraps and plan to listen to a movie at the same time "miss Peregrines home for peculiar children"

The flight arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule so we were home not long after the original arrival time. Quick cage over then out to Vernons pizza for supper with Karen and Bruce. Doing my best to stay awake!!
