Mass Rock, Easkey to Inniscrone

We left Benada and went to Mass Rock then onto Lough Easkey where we stopped for lunch.
It's hard to believe that this was a place that people went to worship as they felt safe there as it was unsafe to be open with their faith...are we returning to those days?

There are 14 crosses on the way up representing the stations of the cross.

We were extremely fortunate to have such great weather but we have found this over the years that May can be the best time for a holiday. There is always at least one good week but wheteher we manage to be off that week is another thing.
Smudge patiently waiting to see what is coming out of the bag for her.
I just had to take a photograph of this sign. I honestly believe someone has a sense of humour as opposed to clearly breaking the rules

The old bath house was built in e late 1800's and such a pity it couldn't be renovated as would be such a lovely site.

There are so many castles in It
Related which I used to take for granted until I had American visitors who got so excited about them because of course there is nothing that old in USAa.
