A linen display goes up alongside the Game of Thrones tapestry of which I was one of the embroiderers, at the Ulster museum Belfast. My nail bitten fingers can be seen clearly in the top left photograph. The other stitchers seen close up are Aimee recently graduated from college and Roisin a weaver from the museum. Valerie Wilson and her team did a great job on connecting our past with the present here.
There are many other photographs regarding the linen Industry in Ireland specifically Co Antrim so it’s well worth a visit even if you have already been to see just the tapestry.
